I am a New York-based writer and editor. I have received a Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship in fiction and a Patricia Willrich fellowship from the Wallace Stegner Creative Writing program at Stanford University. My work has appeared in literary journals such as Slice, Agni, and Third Coast, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. I am currently working on a novel. I also write and edit professionally with a focus on educational content and an interest in graphic literature. Clients include Holt, Rinehart and Winston; McDougal Littell; Glencoe McGraw-Hill; and Classroom, Inc. A consistent thread through my writing and professional life has been the desire to create and to transform within structures. The challenge of mastering various forms guides my work and extends my understanding of the creative process. Feel free to poke through my website, read some of my stories and my novel-in-progress, check out my c.v. — and contact me to work on a project.
